Garnet River was named today (Oct. 24) one of the 12 Best Places to Work in the Albany Business Review‘s medium-sized company category. This is the first time that Garnet River has been selected to the Business Review’s annual Best Places to Work list.

More than 165 companies in the region submitted nominations to be considered as a Best Place to Work, and 48 winners were selected based on confidential surveys sent to employees by Quantum Workplace of Omaha, Neb. The Business Review stated that it was “a very competitive field.”

“Garnet River is honored and excited about this recognition,” said Garnet River CEO Carla Keech Richards. “This is a reflection of our amazing employees. They do the hard work every day, delivering for our clients the IT solutions they need, such as staffing resources, expert advisory services or information security services. They strive for excellence every day. I am proud of them, and I thank them.”

Garnet River is a women-owned business that employs more than 75 people, mostly information technology engineers. The company brings technical resources – personnel, hardware, software, and consultation services – to its clients, many of which are in New York’s Capital Region and some of which are in New York City, California and Canada.
