About Me:

I come from an extended family of engineers, but I took a different route and earned a bachelor of arts degree (Union College) and law degree (University of Virginia). I then became a lawyer and later a business manager and consultant. As a result, I tend to see technology from the user or client perspective, which I think helps inform our decisions about what technologies to offer and how best to relate them to clients and their operations. It is really gratifying to play this role and to collaborate every day with my colleagues and our clients. That said, I also know there are times when my colleagues shake their heads, just the way my father and sisters do, when I sound like a "liberal arts type..."

Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors (particularly the Adirondacks), gardening, handicapping thoroughbred racehorses (please, don't call it "gambling!"), reading biographies and histories, high handicap golf and, just this year, I got into cooking. I am married, have two daughters, two Springer Spaniels and a parakeet at home.
